This weekend, Alliance Française Lagos and Institut Français Nigeria will be organising a panel discussion tagged “Women in the Media and creative Industries”.
The event which holds on Saturday, the 13th May 2017, at Art Afrique in Lagos, features 3 passionate young ladies, Jumoke Sanwo of the Revolving Art Incubator, Bukola Oyebode of The Sole Adventurer and Stephanie Busari of CNN. The speakers will be giving insights into their journey, their roles, challenges and ways to overcome them and the discussion will be moderated by Malaika Toyo. If you would like to discover four women leading the media and creative sectors in Lagos, you should be a part of this.
The discussion will be followed by a cocktail.

About the Speak
Bukola Oye is the Founder and Editor of The Sole Adventurer online magazine.
An art critic and culture journalist, she has over five years experience across print, broadcast and online media.
Stephanie Busari is a journalist and editor at CNN International Digital. She moved to Lagos from London in July 2016 to pioneer CNN’s first digital and multimedia bureau. She also reports on-air in breaking news situations for CNN International.
Jumoke Sanwo is an Artist out of Lagos, she uses Photography, Text and Video-Art as her means of expression. She is also Creative Director of the alternative art space, the Revolving Art Incubator located in Lagos.
Malaika Toyo is Cultural Policy Officer of the Arterial Network, the head of strategy and projects at AWCA – a whitespace creative agency, and programme coordinator at Nsibidi Institute. With a degree in Economics from Coventry University and a Masters in Creative and Media Enterprises from the University of Warwick, she has vast experience in macroeconomics and addressing policy issues relating to the creative economy in Africa. She has worked with organisations including the United Nations and the African Arts Institute.
